(Members of three Bay Area organizations mingle at January's Thirsty Thursday event at Blu Restuarant & Bar in downtown.)

On January 17th, we hosted our first Thirsty Thursday event at Blu Restaurant and Bar. The event was co-hosted by the San Francisco chapters of Social Enterprise Alliance (SEA) and Young Women Social Entrepreneurs. There were over 60 attendees for happy hour and networking.

On February 10th, we hosted a volunteer day at the Hayes Valley Farm (@hayesvalleyfarm). Volunteers worked on gardening and weeding at the local neighborhood farm. About 10 people attended, and for most of them, it was their first YNPN event.

On Feb 21st, we hosted a Panel Discussion on Corporate Partnerships within the Nonprofit Sector at the CapitalOne 360 Cafe with about 30 attendees. Panelists were experienced professionals in the field who covered the different aspects and collaboration opportunities of corporate partnerships. Thank you to the following speakers:

Ari Warmerdam, Development Officer, United Way
Amanda Pape Lenaghan, Deputy Director, Taproot
Jennifer Burkett, Certification Manager, Fair Trade USA
Jennifer Gonzales, Associate, Silicon Valley Leadership Group
Young Han, Co-Founder, GoVoluntr

On March 16th, we proudly launched our brand new website and blog! Members can log in to network and get involved.

In 2013, YNPNsfba welcomed 3 new Board members: Dawn Herrschaft, Vice Chair; Arti Sharma, Secretary; and Brian Luis. You can learn more about them and the rest of Board here.

Upcoming: We are currently planning a Job Search Workshop with on-site Resume Reviews available for FREE advice on April 25th at the LGBT Center. Get your tickets soon, it's sure to sell out. More info on our Facebook invite.

There are many more Bay Area events to come this year as YNPNsfba continues to grow and gain more excited nonprofit professionals!
